Royalties

A royalty, also known as private sector taxes, is a payment made for the use of a natural resource.

Holders of an exploitation license, authorization for quarry and tailing exploitation and artisanal exploitation have to pay mineral royalties on all extracted or other exploited mineral substances.

The obligation to pay mineral royalties starts with the first day of the commercial production and need to be paid quarterly.

Royalties need to be paid in US Dollars, where the rate of the royalties will be fixed by the inter-ministerial-committee or directly negotiated with the contracting party.
